Workshop overview/Description: Active Supervision is the most effective strategy for creating a safe environment and preventing injuries in young children. Teachers will learn strategies to implement successful Active Supervision within their classrooms. Learn ways to keep children safe while ensuring the safety of young children using the six steps of active supervision.
In this session you'll learn how to:
- Defining Active Supervision in an early learning environment.
- Understand the 6 Key Components to Active Supervision with young children.
- Explore strategies to implement successful Active Supervision in Early Learning Centers.
TatjyanaElmore, is currently a Center Director for an Early Head Start and Head Startprogram. Mrs. Elmore provides training support and coaching to EHS/HS staff,licensed early learning centers, and CDA graduates. As an American HeartAssociation CPR and First Aid Instructor and State of Georgia Certified Level 2Intermediate trainer, more than 600 have received professional developmenttraining hours.
Mrs.Elmore received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from DeVry Universityand a Master of Arts in Adult Education from Central Michigan University. Mrs.Elmore has held many early childhood education roles such as Classroom Teacher,Center Director, Curriculum Specialist, and Early Care and Education Manager. Mrs.Elmore serves as the Board Chair for the National Black Child DevelopmentInstitute Atlanta affliction.
