Facilitator
Independent contractor
When living in New Jersey, I was involved in all facets of training and working with Family Day Care Providers and Early Child Care Staff. I have experience in curriculum development, technical assistance, monitoring, and maintaining current information on community resources. I was directly involved with assisting participants as they pursued their CDA credential. I presented at both local and national conferences on topics relevant to early childcare staff practices.
As a CT-Charts-Course approved trainer I was involved in training potential family day care providers and day care staff in Connecticut.
I was a program director for the Danbury Regional Child Advocacy Center overseeing and leading parent education groups in both English and Spanish for 14 years. After the closing of the agency, I began to do independent work.
After training under Jane Nelson and Carol Dores in October 2014 I became a Positive Discipline Facilitator. I have facilitated both Spanish speaking groups and bilingual sessions for Danbury parents and caregivers.
I was the parent liaison for Park Avenue Elementary school in Danbury CT 3 years under a grant from United Way.
Currently, I conduct training on an array of topics following different research-based curriculums.
My focus is to help parents as well as all those involved with children to recognize and appreciate the opportunity of providing a safe, caring environment where children can strive.
